My friend bought some dull white and kinda ugly shoes (they were like sperry top siders crossed with slip on vans)  so after a few well placed comments on how much cooler i could make them he allowed me to paint them (and cut off the really ugly lacing stuff that made them look like top siders, bleh)

so he is really into dragons and loves "girly" colors like pink and purple...  He wanted chinese dragons and since this was done on a whim one night i didn't research and just went off what i knew...
enjoy!  comments always appreciated

big pic of the shoes:

sorry its dark, theres not very good light in the dorms....

Detail of the design:

and sorry they're both sideways, for some reason any pic i take on my camera phone turns sideways on my computer......

Those are cool!  I agree, pink and purple on guys is cute.   Grin  And using those colors on shoes is brilliant - he might feel more comfortable with pink and purple shoes, rather than a pink and purple shirt.  What kind of paint/markers did you use?

i did the basic shapes in acrylic craft paints and after that dried i came back with a sharpie and added all the details...  wasn't too much work, the paints dried really quick so all in all it took about 45 minutes....
