Been makin' up a mess of Varmint Voodoo dolls.  I randomly came upon one I made in 2 strangers' (even on craftster) wists (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=210006.msg2250561#msg2250561 , http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=216068.msg2323503#msg2323503), I decided to create a few more Varmints (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=245472.msg2715146#msg2715146) and then received a few requests for others.  Those, plus a few I just felt like doing are those shown below.

Deer mess up a lot of gardens:

Mom thought I should do ants, because at least around here everyone is fighting sugar ants right now:

Fleas, because I hate them and I had the image:

Cockroaches, because I've a friend moving to Manhattan.

As close as I could get with copyright-free images to a woodchuck/groundhog - didn't work out for the requester.  Anyone else have an suggestion as to what this guy looks like?

And the pins they come with

More details about supplies and construction are in the post that the first link leads to.

Great idea, and they all look fantastic!

Thank you and... OMG!  I've been trying to find out if there is an armadillo "problem" for gardeners/homeowners!  I read that they LOVE digging and are a big nuisance on roads, but didn't see mention of them as a pest digging up yards or gardens. Do they?

Except for the tail it does!  But I thought woodchuck/groundhogs did, too.  It's a Rennaisance or earlier woodcut collected by a guy named Gesner and labeled "water rat or vole".   Gesner's collection includes sea serpents and things like a "walrus" with 4 legs, so... it may be an imaginary animal or cut by someone who saw one once at night for 5 seconds!

They are a HUGE problem for gardeners. Oh, if my mother was here, you would get an earful! She has one that comes up and bangs on the downspout outside her window when she's trying to sleep. My mother has a shotgun, so that shouldn't happen much longer. They dig in the garden and ruin everything, and she HATES them with a passion you can't imagine. She has a spot in the woods she calls the Armadillo Graveyard. Yup, my mom has a shotgun.

HAHA!  I know it's got to be excruciating to her, but I think it's so awesome that an armadillo bangs on her downspout!  Only because why the heck would a armadillo bang on a downspout?  What's he doing?  Well, maybe I'll have to make one for my etsy, because I have a great image of one!  When I read about their habits, I couldn't believe that they weren't trouble for gardeners, but none of the (admittedly 3-4) sources said anything about that.  All they talked about was the road pizza issue.  Perhaps there is a swap in our future?

Yeah, I think it's hysterical, too. I just don't say that to her face! Animals are hysterical!

Hmmm....
