Those of you following along in the poppet along have seen Herman once before in his skivvies.

Herman is based on Ghilies wonderful poppet pattern, but I changed his proportions a bit to be, well gnome-like, wider all around with shorter arms and legs.

And now Herman all dressed...

Thanks for looking.

(If you are interested, I'm happy to send the pattern changes for the Garden Gnome poppet. Just PM me with your email. You'll still need the original poppet pattern from Ghilie, for all the instructions, if you haven't been assimilated to the poppet crowd yet.  Grin )

Herman! You are adorable.
When I first saw him w/o clothes he reminded me of my BIL. I'm thinking about making him for my sis. With whiter hair, more Santa like.

Actually a Santa poppet was requested as soon as Herman had hair.

The beard and hair are a gray yarn I found at Joanns.  I just did normal doll hair wefts, but shorter.  Also the beard wefts were originally one length (longer then the hair wefts), but then trimmed to shape once they were sewn on.

I'm really glad you like him.  I just giggle when ever I look at him.
