What to do when you are in the middle of moving to a place that you don't want to go to? You stay up the night before and craft of course. Get some scissors and go in the complete denial. Smiley
We are going to be living in hotels for the next month or so. There will be no craft supplies room and limited amount of crafting so I came up with a Fathers Day craft before hand.
The hardest part of this is scrubbing off the damn stickers first. My suggestion is go right to the goo gone. You can have all the elbow grease there is and good intentions galore. The glue that sticks the original stickers on is like none I have ever seen.
I measured the squares and then photo shopped hubby's favorite pics of the girls to the same size. Printed them out on photo paper and modge podged away.
The coolest thing about this is once you mix up the squares the pictures end up facing all different directions as well.
Sorry for the blurry pictures I was taking them as packers were in my house. Smiley
I really don't want to move......Sad

Much Peace,
Tero

Hello All,

Thanks for the kudos. We would love to see the one that you did Babyangel. Post it here if you want.
I cant quite remember the size I measured the squares and  just got close by rounding to the nearest easy number to work with. There is a black line going around each picture but I think that makes the pictures pop a bet more and it made it easier for the gluing.
I just used microsoft word for mine. Imported the pictures and then sized them to what I wanted and printed away.
I think these would be really cool with either favorite quotes or even pictures from a favorite movie. Hope all of you enjoy and thank you again for the positive comments.
Sorry it took so long to get back on here. Moving can be a drag.

Much peace,
Tero

When I did mine for my love on valentines I had no problem getting the stickers off, in fact it took no effort at all. This is cute! I did mine of me, my lil angel and my love. I plan on making a lot more they are such a wonderful gift!

Does anyone know what size the photos are cut to?  I saw some hole punches that were square...
I have to make one of these!  Now to get the squares the right size!

the pictures I used for mine last v-day:

   are 5/8 inch x 5/8 inch

I use photoshop 2 so you don't need anything fancy, crop to 305px by 305px, and 500 px/inch for best image quality.

You dont have to have photoshop. thats just the program I was working with when I did mine, I have CS3extended now but have used editing programs that came with your basic computer to resize things,

It was so much fun to do. He still has it and has yet to solve it. Smiley Beware though once you make one of these it is hard to top if the father is a puzzle lover.  Cheesy

It really was not hard at all. The most difficult part was getting the old colored stickers off.
I measured the squares and just printed out the pictures the correct size.
Then good old modge podge does the rest. The whole thing took maybe three hours. Smiley He still plays with it two years later. Smiley
