Why do some people think being a parent is only something to do when it is convenient for you?

the term "beadweaving" makes me cringe (makes me think back to my days in girl scouts when we learned to do it... and my stuff always got twisted up, or was too loose), but this is just completely awesome.

This would not only be wicked cool to make, but it'd be a great visual aid and sciency conversation starter (there really aren't enough of those out there). Nicely done! I'd love to see the link & such if you find it again! Smiley Thanks for the post!

Wow, I didn't realize that a nerdy little bead project would get such great comments and response!

I added the link for the tutorial that I used originally.  If you have any questions as to how I did it or where I got my supplies (pretty easy to find the right sized beads, but I do have a favorite bead shop that also sells online and would have the right sizes), just let me know!

Yay!  Thank you for the link to the tutorial and the modifications.  I really want to make one of these.

Also, I would love to know the name of the bead shop.  Grin

The bead shop that I go to is called 1 Stop Bead Shop (www.1stopbeadshop.c om) and is located in Columbus, Ohio.    I used to work there before I started my clinical rotations last year for school, so I admit that I'm a bit biased.  I don't think that everything that's available in the store is also online, but I know that a good selection is.   I'll have to look at my extra beads to see what colors I used for the 1 and 1/2 bugles...really, any colors you wanted would work, I just used colors that my partner liked and looked good together!

That's beautiful. I bet it took a long time to make and a lot of patience.

Oh, thank you so much for the link and tutorial!!!!!

Quick science question from a word-geek.... Base pairs only ever match up AT, CG, right? I should try and get this right - the friend I have in mind as a recipient is moving OS to do postgrad studies in science, and she definitely knows her stuff.
