Your cushions look great!  I have some patio furniture nearly the same as your's and I've been pondering a cushion solution for a while now.  I love your idea.

Aaack, those are so adorable!  I too, have almost the exact same furniture on my patio too.  Although it's new, I love it's vintagy feel.  I usually make all the cushions and things too, but I kind of ran out of steam this year and we bought the cushions which aren't nearly as cute as yours.

The cushions on my porch furniture aren't waterproof either.  I take them off at night and store them in one of those plastic deck boxes I found on sale last year at Target.  Full price they are expensive, but you may get a good deal on a sale and they do keep everything that's in them dry.  In the winter I do move the cushions into the garage.  This has worked well for the last 3 years, no mold or smell or anything.

Hey everyone!
Thanks again for all the fantastic comments!
If any of you (bliss2187, Lisa C, Sprocket, bezoona) end up making some cushions I'd love to see pictures Smiley.

I'm not sure where you're from but I tend to find some good priced fabric at Jo-Ann's (they have a clearance area where they have stuff for $2/yard or so). I actually found the fabric for these cushions at Wal-mart for $1/yard. Good luck!
