Better than "half and half" bread

I am SOO pleased with this bread - its half white and half wholemeal. To be honest it just tastes like bread but I am SO pleased with how it looks. I might try again with a tastier bread recipe, this is just with instant yeast.



I also made some single colour spirals with the dough I had left (sort of bread swiss role)
- white spiral with honey - very nice
- wholemeal spiral with tomato and cheese - ok, a little too much tomato, too little cheese
- wholemeal with mashed banana and peanut butter - I know I have strange tastes but I knew I would like this one cos I make a very nice banana bread which is good with peanut butter!

Mmmmm!  That sounds soooo good!

So pretty.. I would want to shellac it and keep it forever.  I use a bread machine, so all of my breads are pretty plain looking.

I used the bread machine to knead and rise the wholemeal to save my effort!  But I did the white myself.
