I was a Michael's recently and checked out the Shrinky Dinks and they have some that you can run through the inkjet printer. Print pictures and make keychains and lots of other ideas. They also had an assortment pack with white and black! They probably have ideas on their website...

Yeah, I posted a pendant and some earrings I made. I also made a whole bunch of earrings for our garden sale at work, but they were really basic and not worth posting really.  If you go to my profile and view my topics you can see the other stuff I've made.

And yeah, it's great for boy projects!  I've never bought them, but the Shrinky Dink company makes little plastic stands, so they could even make their own (flat) action figures.  Or, you could glue them to a button or something to make stand-ups without buying the thingies.

That's brilliant. What did you make the holes in the robot's body with?

you mean the holes to connect everything?  I just punched them with a hole punch before I baked the shrinky dinks.

I see sorry, we don't have shrinky dinks in the UK (I don't think) so I only just worked out what you did. Looks brilliant

No shrinky dinks in the UK?!! That's terrible!  Well, at http://www.shrinkydinks.com/ you can shop online. I've also heard that some kinds of plastic containers will shrink too. In the U.S., they have a recycle symbol with a number 6, but I don't know what system they use in the U.K.
