Very cute! Another way to get thick stitching is to use a top stitching needle and/or use two strands of thread at once. I just wind a bobbin in the same color as my thread and put them on the same thread holder, then you just hold them together and thread as usual.

Nice! I have actually thought about doing this several times, (my bf loves argyle, so I see it a lot) but haven't gotten around to it. It's so neat to see this realized. Though I'm sure yours are much nicer than mine would be. I have a lead foot on the machine!
