I went to see Iron Man. Now I'm completely obsessed Grin I LOVE this movie! For those of you who haven't seen it, you don't know what you're missing!

So here's something I made to distract me from the fact that I have to wait at least four months to see it again (on DVD).... Cheesy

It's not finished yet, I need to add at least another coat of glow in the dark fabric paint. It's not very bright right now.

See? I couldn't wait to post pics!

I based the shirt on this shirt which is based on this...

I thought, why spend $17 on a shirt I could make myself...? So I went and bought a $5 cotton t-shirt, and white and glow in the dark fabric paints. I cut the reactor design out of shelf liner, which I stuck to the shirt, then I sprayed it with bleach. I didn't get a picture of this one before painting, so here's my mess-up shirt...

(the sticker wasn't big enough and I accidentally bleached around it)
It's more of a really light orange before the white paint.

Close-up of the reactor design...

I can't wait to finish it and wear it!

I also know the love of iron man.  Oh my god, we just saw it again today and it was even cooler the second time.  I was trying to think of ways to make a light-up shirt, but you are so brilliant with the glow in the dark paint!  Awesome job!

Aren't we crafters a thrifty bunch! Or as my DH likes to say, I'm cheap.  Glad to see that I'm in with a good group.  Grin

That looks faboo ... I especially like the fact you used the glow in the dark paint. Too very cool!

I just saw this movie the other night and loved it! I am making my brother one of these for his b-day- thanks for such an awesome idea! And, how brilliant to bleach the shirt first (I never would have thought of that...). And glow-in-the-dark paint...fabulous...
