So I have seen A LOT of Harry Potter type KAL's but none specifically for the Mrs. Weasley Sweaters.
So I'm starting one! (let me know if there is another one going on!)

Here is a link to the pattern to get started!
http://www.canadianliving.com/crafts/knitting/knit_a_harry_potter_sweater.php

(Technically there are three of us already knitting this, I'm just the one posting  Grin)

Our group of three decided after "serious" research that Cascade Ecological wool and Eco+ are the best and most budget friendly (for us anyways.)

Also we'd like to put our own initials, instead of the "H" in the pattern. Anyone know where we could get the charts for duplicate stitching the alphabet? (None of us are experienced enough to do the intarsia)

We cast on this afternoon and are at various stages on the back ranging from an inch to 3 inches. PLEASE JOIN US!

OOh Good Luck everyone on this one! I wont be joining you this KAL because that was my first sweater ever! And my little guy loves it...(and when she says bind off loosely, she means it. the neck was too tight on the first try!lol) His name doesnt start with H but I did it anyway...what? It was my first sweater lol.

Thanks for the tip D.I.Y.-ish!

is the back supposed to look like a giant rectangle with some live stitches at the top for the neck? I've never done a sweater without sloped armhole shaping...I ma hoping its right.

In other news I finished the back!!!

(By the way...I'm Grace, and Claire and Kirstyn are the two knitters working on this as well.)
Claire and Kirstyn are both somewhere before the halfway point on the back.  Roll Eyes.

Hey I'm not doing Mrs Weasley's sweater but I am doing the twisted pumpkin hat.  How is everyone getting along (i'm guessing you're finished)?  I love this book hehe.

Hi

I'm knitting my first sweater and it is of course: 'the Weasley Sweater'
I only have one problem I don't understand the part of the sleeves. How do you pick up sts between front and back armhole markers of one side of the body?

Hope you can help me!
