I usually don't make stuffed animals, but I had an urge to see if I could makeup a pattern for one, so I did  Grin
His lil' antlers are pose-able, and I decided to give him "anime" eyes.
I can't think of an appropriate name for him (at least I think it's a "him") ... Any suggestions?

(my step-daughter poses for a picture with him)

I was mainly testing out the "free-motion" quilting function on my new sewing machine to see how it works.  I used green sweatshirt and teeshirt material, with some lavender silk for his belly.  I'd like to take some photos with a lighter background, though.
He's huge and cuddly, and I love how he has "paws" for feet  Cheesy

Wow!  He is so friggin' fantastic.  I love all of the details you did with the quilting function, and the eyes are terrific.  I hope you make more.

That is AWESOME!
You should name him Denis...
You know, Denis Hopper?

I totally love that!  However did you draft such a pattern?!?  The detail is absolutely fantastic!  I want to make one!

(To The Tune of "The Llama Song")Here's a needle, there's a needle, and some yarn between the needles, cast on, knit, purl, always knitting, knitty, knitty, purl.

Proud new owner of a Baby Lock 400!  Any advice for the newbie? PM

haha, Dennis is cute...
(and his antennae kinda stick up like a cowlick too--ala "Dennis the Menace")  Grin

While making the pattern, I experimented with cones and half-circles and such, and cut paper templates to experiment with size and how they'd fit together.  (I wish I'd taken pictures while he was in progress, but I get so caught up with sewing and don't wanna stop!)

Maybe if I can dig up the paper pieces I'll post a pattern.  I've never actually drafted/shared a pattern before...I guess I'd just post the drafted shapes along with an inch-long bar or line for size reference?  Hmmm...maybe I'll have to look it up somewhere.

I'm ridiculously phobic about grasshoppers, but I'd hug this one in a heartbeat.  I love Dennis for a name as well.  Those eyes are too sweet!
