So, I had an old bike in the yard, and took the wheels off, took the tires off the wheels too, drilled some holes and worked some of my magic.  Here's what I came up with.  Hope you like!

wish I could figure out how to post the picture so it was just right here!!

adding pictures, be patient with me please!

ADDENDUM
Just wanted to add some pictures of some chanwheeliers I've made over the course of the last year.  They are selling locally like hotcakes, which is GREAT!  Doing an art show on Dec 3rd, so I'm getting ready with a few different new variations... here they are... I hope!

They don't all have candles in the centers anymore, so many people wanted them for their nurseries that it just didn't seem safe for a kids room.  Anyways!  Tell me what you think of the progression of the 'chanwheelier'!
Thanks!

I love it! I didn't read your post closely and imagined a big rubber tire chandelier. Anyway, it's really well done.

I am so glad that everyone is impressed.  I am going to try one more time to actually post a picture right here, one up close and so that you can see that all of the beads are from old necklaces and stuff that I have inherited or acquired through yard salin!    Here goes.
  still trying - how's this?
