This is my first ever attempt at making a purse, and I am soooo excited about it!!! I followed the tute for the Hobo Jordy bag (thanks sushifume!!) and can't believe I didn't mess anything up (especially since I just learned how to use my new sewing machine!!)... I still have to add some velcro for a closure, and there are probably things I'd do differently next time round... add a pocket... use thicker material/heavier interfacing... jazz up the outside with some embroidery... but all in all, I'm proud of my first attempt (oh, and i hope I post this right... never done the picture posting before...)  Grin

i really like that! i've just started making purses too! i've only made 2 so far, but i am really loving it too!

Aswome job. I would like to make something like this for a small prom purse and that looks like the perfect size. Would you tell me the distances you used from point to point? Did you use the same measurements as the tutorials said to use?
