I'm at the end of my first year of a fashion design course, and for our exhibition we had to design, draft and construct a dress. I took Ancient Egypt as my influence, and came up with this...

It's unpressed and on a wonky slanty mannequin in these photos, but our opening night is on Tuesday, so hopefully I'll get better photos then.  Smiley

I'm impressed by anyone who can actually design and make patterns themselves. This looks realy nice, would love to see it on a live model.  Smiley

2.  I loooove this design!

Does the bottom hem flar our on one side?

I would wear it in a heart beat!!!

Yes, the right side hem flares out, while the left side hem is quite high, almost at the hip! Bit of flare there too, but with the hem being so high, you don't see it that much.

Thanks for the kind comments, all. Opening tomorrow, eeeee!!!  Cheesy

I cant wait to see it on a live model...I'm fascinated by Egypt myself.

We didn't have a live model show, unfortunately, just a static on - sorry to disappoint you, guys.  Cry
If it fit around my bottom properly, I'd use myself as a model, but oh well!

Here's some shot from tonight.
