First clothing I've ever reconned or made- first real sewing project actually.....so it's pretty rough.  I don't have a before pick, but the striped fabric was a poncho/shawl thing and the polka dots was fabric I had from the $1 sales at walmart.

I love the way you angled the pattern like that. And please, dont even worry about baby weight,the skirts looks Awesome!!

Thanks!  It was actually already angled, as it was a shawl (there was meant to be a triangular shape in front and triangular shape in  back)  Really, all I did was cut it apart and add the panels to make the neck hole big enough to be a waist hole.  Oh, and I added elastic, which I was told is not a normal "starter project".....and I definately didn't do it perfectly, but I'm still happy with it considering.

Hmm... I think it would look even better with the long parts on the side instead of the front and back. Love the colors!
