Hello all!

I recently needed a portfolio case, and I just could not bring myself to buy one of those vinyl ones that everyone else has, or pay big bucks for some nicer one, so I decided to take a chance and make my own.  I basically made a cover for a 3 ring binder....

Cover

Now some detail information...  The covers are batted with quilt batting glued to the cover...  the fabric for the outside, the plaid, is some upholstery canvas I found at Joanns, the lining is this pinstriped fabric that has a slight shine...  The top left pocket can hold business cards, the pen holder has a pleat at the bottom....  Yeah!  That's all.  What do you think?

I like this neat look. Good thinking. You carry it almost all the time, so it's nice to have something personalized. Good work!  Smiley

Thank you very much!

It was a lot of fun to make, and I already have ideas for others!  For example, a waterproof one for all of the recipes that I print off online...  Smiley

Thats really nice!  I could never use something like that though.  I end up doodling and such on my plastic folders.   Grin

One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its black gates are guarded by more than just orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep. The great eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire, ash, and dust. The very air you breathe is a poisonous fume.......

Thank you very much!

I tend to have an obsession with functionality as design, so the pockets were just absolutely necessary.  Tongue
