My intital reaction was, "Oh noooooo!" (said in my best Mr. Bill voice). But, after reading the Q & A, I'm pretty excited about it. Maybe still a teeny bit worried, but that's only because I need time to get used to changes Wink

Congratulations Leah on such an amazing accomplishment! And, I too look forward to seeing more of "Leah (crafter)" around here!

And, thanks so much to you and all of the super mods for taking such good care of Craftster and all of its Craftsters for so long. This is, hands down, my favorite site on the web and I can't wait to see what new surprises you have in store for us!

I'm thrilled that this will reinforce the notion that crafting is an important "industry" and that there are enough crafters (lower-case here) to sustain serious websites.

I hope that Craftster (upper-case here) continues to be a craft site, not a general website.  I may be in the minority, but I've always liked the fact that Craftster posts are kept on-topic.  And civil.  I also like that Craftster offers its own photo hosting (no Flickr required).  Hope those two things don't change.

Having said that, all the best to you, Leah and the moderators.  You have done a fantastic job.  I learned to make purses here and I got many of my early knitting tips here (have to admit that the knitting videos on YouTube and on KnittingHelp are pretty good).  All the best to all of you - and to all of your readers also.

(Now, can we start a poll on where Leah should go for a vacation, to rest up after all of her hard work?)

Yay for SNL references! Cheesy

I'm so glad everyone is being so supportive of this!  I freely admit that I was a bit taken back and very wary for the first few days after finding out.  However, I must say that every question I had and every question I saw posed to Leah was answered in a completely reasonable, non-scary way.  And knowing Leah and Jean, I'm sure they both asked a bazillion other questions of NameMedia before this all happened and if they were satisfied then I'm satisfied.  Knowing how much work Leah has put into this site it's crazy to think that she'd put it in any kind of danger.  Smiley

Congratulations, Leah!

I want you to try something new.  I'm sure you haven't experienced this yet and I always like to point people to new and exciting things.  Go out to a movie, turn off your cell phone, go to dinner, come home and sit on the sofa.

Yeah, try that.  You will be amazed how relaxing it can be. Smiley

I second that. Smiley

Congratulations. I'm a little nervous. I'm just trying to imagine what my happen (both the good and possibly the bad things). My heart is beating so fast. Isn't that pitiful? x3

Well, congratulations again. I'm so anxious and nervous. x3

This is great. But I admit Im a bit terrified about swapping now. Having a bunch of people I dont know have access to my address is freaky.

I'm not sure I fully understand your concern. Smiley  How would Leah, myself or the rest of the people at NameMedia have access to your mailing address from swapping?
