Thanks JMunky, your description really did help me out. The heads are turning out much better! But I'm also having a lot of issues with the skirt for the the Day of the Dead Gal...is there anybody who can help me figure it out. I'm a novice crocheter and any bit of advice would be welcome!

I have my copy of the book on hand. Smiley What are you having trouble with?

(One thing I definitely noticed was that the book is very much not an introductory primer like so many ami books tend to be, and can leave people floundering because it expects you to know quite a bit already, and in some cases to infer things.)

Hey, I have this book too. It was my first amigurumi book and was what made me want to learn to crochet and OMG did it confuse me! I think I have looked at it once since I learned to crochet and that was over a year ago. I think I attempted the nosferatu pattern and just couldn't get my head around the collar bit, and got frustrated and abandoned it.

I've come across pattern that just tell you to increase evenly in your rounds and that normally confuses me too, I usually end up doing the whole, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36... etc increases on what ever I'm making if it doesn't state clearly the increase!

Its a shame the Creepy Cute are so confusing coz they are cute!!
