Revamped $3 dress from resale shop.

So last fall sometime I bought this dress from a resale shop for about $3 (maybe it was $5) with the intent of altering it- it was an Old Navy dress I think.
Soooooo I totally revamped it. I took in the waist so it would be more fitted, removed the straps and added fabric to the skirt. I started it in January, but my crazy amount of work for vet school didn't leave much time for sewing, so I just finally finished it yesterday.

I love what you did with this-- the green fabric is a nice choice. I'm always peeking into Old Navy (probably because it's next to A.C. Moore!) for cheap stuff to alter. They have a lot of great items on the sale racks but they're usually ill-fitting.

the dress is gorgeous! now you've made me want to go and sew but i can't because i leave for england in an hour figures can't sew on planes or craft at all for that matter this plane ride should prove to be incredibly boring i guess... but the dress is gorgeous!!!

Wonderful recon! I like.    The bright green peeking out of the darker dress fabric is such a delightful surprise! It just makes me want to laugh - in a good... delightfully surprised kind of way       And it looks like you did a great job cutting and resweing, too.   Do post clearer pics, if you get a chance to take them! I'd love to see more!
