This is my first attempt to make a tutu, I took 2" strips of tulle, alternating purple, and turquise, and tied them to a satin ribbon.  Them i glued little flower sequins randomly about the frock.  I found the body suit on clearance at the fabric store for $1.50, and added tulle ruffles and bows to tie the outfit together.

that is absolutely gorgeous! 3yr dd has just run across the room shouting 'I like that dress, Ryla's dress!!' (she's called Ryla btw lol) so I think it got a very girly girls approval (damn now I'm gonna have to make one lol)

Thanks for the idea! It's exactly what I have been looking for cause I am working on a dress up chest and that was one of my ideas but wasn't sure how to do it. Thanks!
