There's some form of tutorial if you can follow it without pictures.. but i might add a picture tutorial later

so i had this random ugly skirt in my drawers that is like knee legnth and made of jersey.
so i knew i needed to do something about it Smiley

the before - it was so gross Tongue

so I folded the skirt in half, cut it and then took the side seams off of it. with the bottom half of the skirt, i cut the side seams off of that as well and took the hem out and off. so i was left with equal pieces. I sewed the 2 pieces i got from the bottom half of the skirt and sewed those to the front panel.  then sewed the side seams back together.  then i cut the top piece on an angle, the middle in the opposite direction and left the bottom the way it was. Then i zig-zagged the raw edges to make a lettuce edge, making it ruffly.  i went decorative stitch crazy and put contrasting white stitches along the top and bottom of the waistband.  there was a draw string in black cord, so, I took that out and threaded purple ribbon through.

front you can see the purple ribbon and ruffles and it probably puts images to the description tutorial.

my tag Smiley it's a 6 pointed star and my signature (lil bruggz)

this is a close up of the decorative stitching. Smiley

enjoy and comments??

P.S. I will be adding action shots soon Smiley

That's really cool and looks comfty! Smiley I've never done decorative stitching around the edges of fabric before but it looks really effective- you've inspired me to have a go.
