Thanks for the great tute and pattern. I LOVE IT!!!

Here's a look at the bag I made.... Cheesy

It's NOWHERE close to as professional looking as yours, but I tried.....

Also all that crazy stitching is my style, and I had a little trouble up there, so I used the stitching as a way of reinforcing the top bit.  Roll Eyes

The floral sequin thing I bought for $2.50 at this fabulous bead shop, and I had to add it.
My button is a bit askew but... it doesn't matter. Thanks again. I see this as test clutch 1, so hopefully I'll be able to make one as good as yours soon.

oh man, i wish i weren't sewing-retarded. that is the most gorgeous bag ive ever seen. im so sickly clutch obsessed too. i might give it a try anyway, but i have a feeling the end product would be more akin to potato than to the gorgeousity you managed to produce. rock on.

xoxo

I am too excited to make this clutch!  It rocks in too many, many ways!  Thanks for the tutorial.  I'm going to try it out in vinyl . . .or tweed. . . ooh!

That is really nice, I like it a lot!  If you're having trouble reenforcing the top part like you said, I would just add more interfacing, or a stiffer kind of interfacing.  That should hold it up nicely.

Thanks everyone again!

This bag is absolutely GORGEOUS, and the tutorial is even better(...i prefer it when there are lots of instructions!). I am most definitely going to be making my own so give me a week or so... i doubt it will look quite as professional as yours though!

this is my slightly modified version of your clutch!!

sadly, my bag is an absolute disgrace up close.  i messed up with the lining, so the inside looks really messed up.  i'm thinking about using it regardless, though, because no one looks in the inside of your bag.  it's for my prom, it matches my dress pretty well.

Alisasaur, I love you bag as well!  I like how you added the ribbon detail.  Yay for sharing the clutch love!
Thanks to cazrazmataz too Smiley

I used this tutorial to make a purse for the funky black purse swap, and MAN!! awesome tute!  My lining looks  a bit funky, but for the most part, it turned out cool.  I'll post pics in a bit.  Thank you for the tute!
