Newsboy Cap !! [throw back to the 60's ?]

I have wanted a hat for a while now that was cute, that I could wear around, I have several knit ones, but those are getting pretty warm lately. =] I got this pattern from  http://www.wildginger.com/products/wildthings.htm

I had to alter it to make the band completly different, even so,
It is a pretty wicked program.
ok... so here is the hat!
[and computer and cell phone and cup... lol]



The button ! I had to put the fabric over and sew it... it was definetly an interesting experience.





The brim kind of ends upbruptly and I am not sure how to make it not do that...

i'd say attach the flap a little higher so the corners are more in/behind the band.
it's cute though!
