What a fabulous job you did!  Everything from your fabric choices to the workmanship is wonderful.  What a pity people don't dress like that anymore, those dresses were beautiful.

I was reading one of my old Laura Ingalls Wilder books recently, These Happy Golden Years, and she was describing how she and her mother made their clothes, and the work that went into them... and most of it by hand until they got a sewing machine.  It would have been dresses much like this one.  Imagine putting that much effort into every single thing you ever wore!

Wow, that is AMAZING! Brilliant choice of colours and fabrics. The bustle is really cool, and I love the bodice front Cheesy It's all done so well.

How beautiful! This is fabulously impressive.

Aren't bustle pads odd? They look like kidneys that you strap to your bum.

How beautiful! I was a costume design major in school, but I don't think I ever completed such an ambitious project as that. It really looks professionally made, from the fabric choices to the stitching. And it looks great on you, too.
