Hey, could someone please tell me what type of yarn, colors and amount is needed for the color bar blanket? I'm planning on getting the book from the library this week but I want to buy the yarn in advance. Thank you! Smiley

For the size in the book - 63" wide x 45" deep:

Lion Brand Wool-Ease (20% Wool/80% acrylic; 3 oz [85 g]/197 yd [180 m]):
1 skein each of #176 Spring Green (A), #158 Buttercup (B), #102 Ranch Red (C), #116 Delft (D), #137 Fuchsia (E), #117 Colonial Blue (F), #152 Oxford Grey (G), #111 Navy (H), #100 White (I), and #153 Black (J)

Size I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

And here's a blog post from the author of the pattern that I recommend checking out:

It'll take me a while. For instance, first I have to buy the yarn. Cheesy
