I am outing a work in progress to inspire me to finish (as the project enters YEAR 4).  Wink
I had a hard time deciding where this project fits. It is a quilt, but I'm no expert sewer and intimidated by the quilting boards... this is my first quilt. I thought I'd be clever and rely on my printmaking skills. So, I'm making a simple quilt with 4 by 7 rectangles with frame. So I can make one rectangle per letter of the alphabet with two extra. Each letter is made with a variety of printmaking techniques: silkscreen prints, lino block prints, wood block prints, prints of vintage letter press letters and even some leaf prints. So, here is the work so far:

A is for angel (screen print from rubbing of church floor in Dijon + letterpress letter)

B is for bear, bats and blossoms (2 screenprints + letterpress letter)

C is for cats and clouds (woodblock + painting + letterpress letter)

E is for elephant and eyes (two lino block prints)

G is for grass, gryphon and giraffe (not a good sewing day- painting + 2 lino block prints)

L is for lemon, lime and leaves (stencil + actual leaf prints + letterpress letter)

R is for rhinoceros beetle and rhino and ribbon (screenprint + lino block print)

S is for sun, seal, snails and spiral of stars (3 screen prints, painting and letterpress letter)

T is for tiger and turtle (two lino block prints + letterpress letter)

Thanks for the encouragement magadoo, SpartysGirl and me...just me.
Maybe I'll venture onto the quilting boards when the project makes it to the quilt stage, beyond the printmaking on fabric stage.
Smiley

I'd like to see you lino bat (I think you meant bat, right?).

Cheers,
minouette

I'll look forward to it. Smiley
I assure you that your English is infinitely better than my Dutch! Plus, I typed "you" when I meant "your" above, and English is my first language, so I have no excuse.  Wink

I didn't noticed it  Cheesy
Sometimes it is really difficult to type everything in English here, but it is a good practise  Wink (And I love the spell check function here xD)

I made some more letters:

M is for monkey, matrioshka, map and monarch butterfly. The monkey and monarch are lino block prints and the M is a letterpress block.

H is for horse (lino) and house.

D is fro dragon and dodo (both lino) and completed E.

This is the corner rectangle (4 x 7 = 26 letter + 2 corners) with the entire alphabet printed from letterpress blocks.

Your monkey and the horse are so beautiful. Did you made them? Smiley

And I posted my bat, but he turned out very different.
