Today I stole about another hour, and here is more snails pace progress. But I do only have one small section left on this shade before I can start on Shade #2.  Smiley

Section left to do:

HSG-
You have totally inspired me to start.  I went and bought some cheap ceramic tiles at Home Depot-my dad broke one of my mom's outside tables, so I thought it would be a great place to start.  My first ambitions were way, way way too expensive, but this way I can get my feet wet, learn and move on to bigger things.  But the main point is your work and kindness have inspired me to try something new and I thank you for that!!

Beautiful lamps by the way.  Ikea is about 4 miles from my house-might go look for things to cover!!!

Do you buy your tiles in tile form or cut them yourself? I have a project (inspired by you!) that I need to get going on, but I am a little confused by all the glass options!

Most all supplies I buy whole, and then smash...with glee! Wink Breaking things to use is really half the fun, but I do actually by some glass already broken from a local stained glass guy. He sells 5 lb. buckets of off cuts for $30.00. All I have to do is sort through into colors.

Depending on the design, whether or not you will need specific shapes, go with whatever colors, tiles or glass strike your fancy.

Thank you grendelsmom  Smiley

First lamp shade is glass complete. Think I'm going to wait till I get both shades done before grouting. Will be starting the second shade Sunday. Smiley
