My boyfriend's birthday is this Wednesday, and for the past few days I had been trying to think of something I could make him. Boys are so hard to craft for! Then I remembered that he is obsessed with Star Wars and would love anything relating to it. I went to the local comic book store and bought 2 vintage star wars comics ($6 each), got a plain wood frame at Michaels for about $7, and a plain black pencil holder at Staples for about $3. I decoupaged both the frame and pencil holder with glossy finish Mod Podge. He REALLY needs a pencil holder lol He has a huge desk with 2 computers and papers everywhere, but no pencils! Here they are...

Ooh, I love those! I love anything decoupaged, and those are really cool! You've fitted it all together really nicely... I just love the colours of the picture frame!

oOOOOOh! That's so neat! I need to go dig through my LCS now and maybe do something similar. My FH (and me) LOVES Star Wars. I just threw him a Sci Fi themed birthday party, and this would have been an awesome gift idea.

Everything looks really good too. I like the way you laid the comic bits out. Smiley
