My partner's package arrived last Saturday but unfortunately I just made it home this morning to open it. My grandma's been sick so I've been staying either at her house (an hour away from mine) or at the hospital. Having such a great package waiting for me when I finally got here was a wonderful treat. My partner is AMAZING! I'll try and post pics in a little bit but for now here's a list of my goodies!

A set of Jane Austen cards, blank inside but with wonderful pics and quotes from the books on the fronts. (like an idiot I forgot to take pics of them  Roll Eyes )
A small decorative tin filled with earrings. Each pair is taken to represent something/someone from the novels. They're so clever, and I love how different each pair is!

"Bloody skulls straight from Gothic horrow novels, and old money for General Tilney"

"Like Captain Wentworth, true-blue centers. Wear the red one on the port side and the green on starboard. That is, red=left and green=right"

"Crystal balls, since one can find everything - past and future- in P&P"
I've already worn these a few times to work and have gotten a LOT of compliments on them. Unfortunately the others would break the "nothing dangley" rule.  Tongue

"Calendar wheel for Elinor's sense and the yin-yang for Marianne's sensibility."

"For Fanny Price, pale flowers with a rock hard center. (Aunt Norris would be pleased that they're not real diamonds, and the flowers are recycled from 55-year old ornaments)

A broomstick skirt with female figures all over it, each with a corresponding female character name from Miss Austen novels - the good ones and the bad! I've already tried it on and not only does it look great as a skirt, but is super fun paired with jeans and pulled up as a dress with a ribbon tied under my bosom to make it a very hippy-ish empire waist top.   Wink

Finally, there's the most amazing item, one which WILL be worn to death, I assure you. It's a gorgeous cream colored woven shawl. It drapes BEAUTIFULLY and is sooooo soft! I love shawls and this one is probably the most lovely one I've ever owned. I love the little lacey appliqus - a perfect touch!

Thank you so much Scotskipper!!! With all that's been going on I've decided to take a break from swaps at least for the summer. You made my last one really special. Thank you, thank, you, thank you!!
