i dont know what that long word meant but if you were reffering to the circle skirt thing, i think so! only make the hole only sliiiightly off centre!! (ie. the distance you want there to be between the front and the back away from the middle! (i think!!)

My computer's been down for the last two weeks. My computer guy said he could fix it in 2 days, 2 weeks later, I finally get it back!
Meanwhile you girls are posting to beat the band and I just wanted to say that I am AMAZED by each and every one of you! There is some great stuff happening in the sewing rooms of America (and beyond).
I'm going to purchase my pattern and fabric this weekend. I can't wait to get to the machine and join the legions of girls who have already started, if not compleated, their dresses.
Keep up the good work!
Keep posting those pictures!

I am making my own dress!  My prom is April 22.  I haven't started sewing yet but I've got the fabric (peachy pink polyester for the underlayer and peachy pink tulle with a tad bit of a sparkle for the overlay) and the pattern:

I'm making the short one.

Is anyone else making (or already made) this dress?  It is Simplicity #4686

Like someone already mentioned, the circle skirt method would not make it come out flat like this, it would be big and poofy and full of volume. I'd say get  regular skirt pattern, and just adjust the hem, to match this one
