Okay, so, I have 3 formals (the Kiwi equivalent of proms) this year. And to at least one, I plan on wearing a dress similar to this one:

Isn't it wonderful?! But yes, I'm looking for a similar pattern, or a pattern with a similar bodice shape. I'm going to et rid of the pintucks, so it should be easy enough? Any help would be very much appreciated!

What size?  I have a ton of vintage patterns that might work.

You could omit the sleeves and add spaghetti straps or wider straps. Whatever you like.

Wow!  I thought it might be a shot in the dark because most of my patterns are for small women, but I thought I'd offer.  Turns out, you really might be in luck.  Might even have a few options.  I'll check my stash tonight for the appropriate sizes.

I know it isn't quite it.  I do have one that has a straight-across bodice, too which the little straps could be added pretty easily, but it's for a 32" bust.

Dress number 2:



You can't see it very well in the picture but there is beading around the front at the bottom as well as in the middle at the top.

Again I made my dress, bag, wrap, and jewellery.

And I'm not quite sure what's going on with the look on my face

Beh!  How did prom get here so fast? I started working and then got caught up sewing all the costumes for the school's musical! What are the chances I can finish this in four days?!
