Thank you all, so much!  It actually took less than an hour to make (it's roughly actual size, for a large rose, and fits perfectly in a cupped palm).  I just used scissors to cut the copper (old ones, since I know the copper will dull them).  Each copper piece is actually two opposite petals, I drove two holes through all my "layers" at the center where the two petals met, then wired them together.  I hammered it a bit first, and curled them up to make the flower shape.

Wicked! I'd love to pin that in my hair! It looks realistic in shape, just how I like. Very cool, this rocks.  Smiley

This is stunning! I just stumbled across a dress that was this same coppery color, and I've decided that it is one of my favorite colors.

Thanks for brightening my day with this! I have a rose made out of a pop can...

I have got to be the twelve millionth person to tell you this, but this is just unfathomably stunning.  This would sell for some nice coinage on the coast, where I lived for awhile.  I don't know if you have any chichi gift shops around you, but if I were you, I'd see if they'd sell some on commission!  I think it would be nice displayed on a plain, well sanded piece of wood, to juxtapose the sharp edges with the smooth, and put the feng shui element of metal with wood.  Fantastic.
