"it's very birdlike" prom dress (IMG HEAVY)

so my friend mike's first reaction to my dress was: "nice cait. it's very birdlike." i feel like that might have something to do with the feathers....

it's a basic strapless dress made of royal blue gabardine and lined with green satin.  there's a zipper in the back as well as a small slit so i can get my groove on.  i then handsewed all the peacock feathers on the front. my mom did my hair and put a bunch of feathers in it.

i actually really lucked out with the peacock feathers- i got 30 of them for $5 at a yard sale.

and we rolled up to prom in a firetruck with the sirens blaring. 
solid.

oh it's so classy! most prom dresses are garish and bizarre, but yours is classic and flattering. i love it! did all of the feathers stay on after dancing?
