Just wanted to let anyone who is interested that we're meeting on the 8th and 22nd of January (Mondays) at 7:00 at Argo. Like Beach said, we're easy to spot so just come up and say hello. Bring a craft of your choice or just come to chat if you want to.

As always, you can PM me if you want on the email reminder list.

I was wondering why you didn't get an email but I realized it's becasue I put your email into my contacts list, but didn't add it to the group. I just fixed it now, and you'll get the next reminder.

We're meeting on the 19th at Think! (4512 West 10th Ave., at Sasamat) and the 26th at Agro (Davie and Hamilton). 7:00 to 9:00 on both dates.

Any craftster in Vancouver are welcome!

I am from Vancouver too, looking forward to join the group and come to the meetings. Grin

So the upcoming meeting in Greater Vancouver is Feb26 (7-9pm), at Agro? What is Agro? I need some assistant on the direction.

What other additional information I need to know about the Vancouver group?

Agro is a cafe in yaletown right at the corner of Davie and Hamilton. Let me know if you need better directions by email.

I know at this group is small but we are really consistant and completely welcome new people. We all usually bring something to work on and just hang out and talk about crafts and other things not related to crafts. It's very flexible and casual.

bump

I think it would be nice if wecould have a place online too, something like a webring where we could all be connected. We could link all of our art/craft-related blogs and websites together... give feedback on eachother's work and notify eachother of events. Maybe use myspace? Facebook? Blogspot?
What do you guys think Tongue

flickr is a great place for all that imo.

The vancraftr group (here) has a group you can join http://www.flickr.com/groups/vancraftr/

and if you have an etsy shop in Canada the street team is another great place to share/inspire

hope that helps!

The flickr group is still there, but doesn't involve meetings right now. The amount of interest was so low that I stopped organizing meetings. Now it's a good place for questions and resources and pictures.

I would be open to trying meetings again if there is significant interest there or if someone else would like to try to organize them.
