My great-grandmother showed me how to make these before she died. I have some that she made (not pictured). These are the ones I made. The fuschia one is my favorite.

Hmmm paper beads....I have never tried that.  It sounds really fun to do though.  And I love the colors you used in yours!!  Pretty! Grin

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

  Beautiful! I think the fushia is my favorite too. What kind of paper did you use?  Did you put varnish on the finished beads?
These are really cool.  I think your Great Grandmother would be proud.

oh man, thanks for sharing this! my great-aunt and i used to make these all the time when i was really little, before she passed away. i've totally forgotten about them! i will have to make some now.
