I started collecting material for this quilt about a year ago and was able to collect most of it by doing swaps here on Craftster, although, in the end, I had to buy a couple of pieces.  I can't remember exactly where it all came from but I know for sure that some is from South Africa, the UK, Sweden, the US and Canada.  The pattern came from a magazine called Fun Quilts and it's the Uneven Nine Patch.

It is for my 18 year old son, whose favorite color is, you guessed it, ORANGE!

I present my All About Orange quilt:

A little closer up so you can see detail:

and even closer for more detail:

and the obligatory back picture showing all the quilting I did:

September 3 - this is a picture of the quilt in my son's room.

Homer, that's gorgeous.  I too love orange, but it gets ignored by most people.  Your son is very lucky.

That's just beautiful, I love the pattern which seems untidy and organized at the same time!  And an excellent choice of orange fabrics!

This definitely rocks!  I hope I can get to your level of quilting after some practice this summer!  I love the colors, it makes me think of summer  Smiley

I'm looking for denim for a quilt for my husband's birthday.  Old jeans work great, PM me if you want to personal swap!

That's fantastic.  I've seen squares like that but never a finished quilt.  It's too cool!
