First I would like to thank APPLESAREGREEN for your lovely tutorial!!! It was a very easy tutorial to follow,  wish the zipper instructions would have been a little more clearer but it was still a great tut. It was my first zipper, way easier than I expected to install. When I came to the last step (tucking/sewing the ends of the zipper) I had trouble sewing it on my machine so I ended up hand sewing the curves. It did take longer than I expected to complete Roll Eyes, but next time will be alot easier. I did make a few changes/add ons......added inside pockets, made the straps longer, and used ultra firm stabilzer so it has more of a boxy shape. This was a birthday gift for DD's Nanny. She turned 18 this Saturday. She mentioned to me 2 weeks ago how much she loves zebra print so I felt it was my duty to make a zebra purse. She loved it! My mom wants one now Grin. Hope you like it!

~~MARY

Don't you just love my wonky hand sewed curves  Wink

Figured you might want to see the inside.....2 big pockets and 1 pen pocket

I really like the combination of the mad fabric with the straightforward look of the bag.

Thanks so much for the encouragement! I guess I'm the only one that notices all the boo boos, the wonky sides really bothered me Roll Eyes. But no one else seemed to notice so I guess its ok. Meagan loved it so thats all that matters.

Craftdeb --I have been drooling over the AB's weekend bag pattern but I honestly don't think I have the skills for it yet. This is only my 2nd purse. I have never done piping before. I am hoping to try my hand at a AB Sanibel knock off for myself, but I have to wait till my skull fabric comes in...tick toc tick toc.

Cookiecutter -- here's the tut link http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=178244.0. The tutorial is still up the pictures are gone, on page 10 at the bottom of the tutorial they have a link to a PDF (with pics) that someone was so nice to share....here it is:
**edit**
here's the link for the lost pictures

The file is called receita-pleatness bag.doc
Thanks so much ronise for saving this!

Just a word of advice, unless you have a lot of time to spare, I would break this project down into sections (Day 1--make your pattern, Day 2--cut out pieces Day 3--work on pleats....I think you get the idea). I tried to finish it all in one weekend and it was just too much for me (on top of chasing my 16 mo old around). Next time I am breaking into pieces. Just my 2 cents Grin.
