Long long long time lurker, very infrequent poster, hi Smiley

So I was sure it was somewhere in this section the other week that I saw someone else's picture frame turned necklace/earring holder and thought "ooh I could use me one of those".
Unfortunately I just can't find a link to that thread, maybe I dreamt it?

Anyhoo, here is my picuture frame turned jewellry holder:

Not much doing, really. Just sitting there innocently minding its own business

Behold! An action shot!

Sparkle, my pretties!

Out of focus close-up:

You get the idea,
Basically it's just a little wooden frame I had lying around,
I cut out a square of nicely patterned paper I had and backed that onto some slightly sturdier card and stuck in some butterfly clips at strategic places.

I mean these little guys when I say butterfly clips:

You know, the ones that have little legs which fold back flat.

After pushing them through the paper this meant I was left with a nice little peg for holding stuff on the front and the prong bits just folded back flat against the back of the card meaning i could put it all in a frame nice and tidy.
Oh and I added a little strip of ribbon too as you can see for earrings to dangle off.

Then I added a ribbon to hang the whole thing to hang it by and....well that's it really, nice and simple.

*nods slowly*

Have yourself a lovely day, I'd love to know what you think about this

Why thank'ee  Wink

I've had a bunch of butterfly clips hangin around for a while and have been trying to find some way to use up a few of them.

(I suppose were I to do this again I might take more care in making them a bit straighter)
