I thought that I can't be the only one who struggled to pick just one photo from all of mine for the Macro Challenge, so thought people might be interested in a thread to share future kick ass extreme closeup macro shots!

Both shot with my Canon Powershot A95 (which isn't an SLR, just a nice point'n'shoot!), more pics from the same set here - my garden's in full bloom with some unexpected flowers & plenty of weeds at the moment, so I decided to get out and take some pics.

Anyone else got some macro shots they want to share?

PurpleHeather, your links aren't working. You've got an extra 'http://' in there. Wink

Love the first pic! What kind of flower is that?

Wow, those are some gorgeous flower pics!  Here is one of my clematis:

and about 3/4 inch of ice on a rose hip from our storm this past December:

For the record, I could add a whole lot more, lol. Wink

daina - thanks!  I love getting up close to things and trying to find the beautiful bits.

SarahsALoser - love the texture on those petals

DIY ho - thanks for letting me know - I think it's that I keep putting them in ""s as I'm used to doing HTML!  Mended now Cheesy

The flower is actually a forget me not - I got really close & managed to do the fab focus - really happy with that image.

landofoz - loving the shadows on your clematis, and that ice is such a great pic - looks like I could reach out & touch it.

sookie74 - hello, please do share more, I love looking at people's detailed shots!  Love the lighting in your railroad shot - very evocative, and your dog's a cutie.

pinokeeo - would love to see some of your pics!

Ooh, talking about things being beautiful, here's one of my favourite macro shots, I think it's beautiful in a not so conventional way:

Sweet photos everyone! I had a tough time picking the right picture too.. here are a couple I thought about entering.. (I'm not sure if some of them really qualify as macro but hey) Tongue

My little niece, Claire, I think she was getting sick of having a camera in her face all day. Cheesy

Apple blossoms from last year.

Some of my paint brushes.

A calf skull. This one freaks some people out, but I like it.

Hehe, sorry for so many! Keep the pictures comin' folks! Cheesy
