Here is a bag I just made for my sister. It's reversible. She loves small bags with short straps that she puts over her shoulder. I don't know if that description makes sense, but here it is:

And with it reversed:

It's not as crooked as it looks in the picture!

What do you think? I think I like the solid for the outside better except that it shows my less than perfect stitching!
I hope she likes it!  Smiley

Wow .. I love that bag ... and the fabric sends it over the top for me!   I personally love the long straps for daily use purses .. you know .. the kind you put over your head and across your chest.  But, I love these shorter straps for going out and such.

Honestly, this is so cute and versatile with the reversibility ...love love love it.

Now ...will you share where you found that fabric?

Thanks for all the kind words! The inside pockets are supposed to be just the right size for her cellphone and Ipod on one side and her business card holder on the other.

The fabric really does make the bag what it is! Let's see, the selvage says, "K&Company under license to Robert Kaufman Screen print#D 5206 'Life's Journey'."  I found it at Hancock Fabrics in the clearance section a few months ago. It's vintage postcards in case it's hard to tell.
