After reading the topic "So how many people here are from Maine?" I wondered how many people here have been to or live in or near Houlton, Maine.

Oh my gosh, Houlton! Is that where you are?

I spent 6 months living in Millinocket (east millinocket to be exact) a few years ago when my husband was there for a job. It was a lonely 6 months for me, to say the least. Even amidst all the beauty there!!!

I'm in Portland now.

I grew up in Bucksport, Maine (now I live in Massachusetts), but my mom grew up in Oakfield, Maine, which is only 17 miles from Houlton.  Now we have a camp near there.  Whenever I go up north, I go to the AWESOME used book store in Houlton.  I don't remember what it's called.  Have you been?  It's amazing!  I always end up buying something when I go.  Ooo!  Love it!

Hi!  My In-laws live in Island Falls and every time I go and visit them I always go to that great bookstore.  Its the one in the old church.  I don't know what it's named either but i love it.  I can't walk out of there without a ton of books.

I actually live in New York right now but i'm going to be moving to Augusta January 6.  I can't wait.  I absolutely love Maine.
