i did it!! i am so excited that this worked!
i was really nervous to do this, because i was afraid to make holes in my favorite Kurhn... but i used
DollsAhoy's suggestions (and hair i got from her!) and it all worked out well, and this is the result:



(in one of those you can see a creepy scalp hole where the hair comes out, but that's because i didn't brush her hair well enough.)
this hair look is borrowed from the "MamaToldMe" Momoko doll (which has pink hair stripes). but i did it in lavendar to match this doll's eyes.
this doll was waiting all this time to wear her special new top that now matches her hair perfectly! (it's a barbie one that i bought off somebody on flickr.)
also a first for me was doing the hair setting by boiled water. that worked out way better than i expected, also!
so all in all, i now have a new confidence for some doll modifications!
