My mother in law is hard to buy for, but luckily, she really appreciates a hand made gift.  So, I decided to make her a bag and matching key chain.  I really, really, really am happy with how it turned out.  I kinda want to keep it for myself - hey, I'm a mother too! Wink

Anyway - this is the bag.......

The set - with the keychain:

I really like alternating the lining fabric with the exterior fabric.  I especially like the look it gives with the straps.  Also, I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture, but the bag is quilted.

As always - comments are welcome!  Thanks for looking!!

Looks great and love the fabric, the matching keychain is super cool too.  How did you make that keychain, like what metal piece did you use?

Thanks, guys!  I hope that she'll like it.  She usually does really appreciate 'homemade' as opposed to store bought - so, I'm hopeful!!

I have a bit more information about the keychains on this post:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=243534.0  ... Hope that helps!  Let me know if you have any other questions!!

Hi Hun,

I'm sure she's gonna love it.....I'm a Mom too....so mine's in the post is it? lol Just kidding.  Note to self, try and teach my daughter how to make bags!  I'm loving how you alternated the lining fabric in the straps....really sets the bag of nicely.

Let us know what your Mother in Law thought of it.

Hugs
Naomi

Thanks, guys!  I'm giving it to her today - along with a Hydrangea bush that my Husband bought for her.  I'll let you know how she liked it!  I think that she will like it!!
