It's my grandma's birthday. She's going to be 63, she really likes collecting angel figurines and she doesn't really have other hobbies. She hangs out with the family mostly. I've never really made her gifts I usually paint her cards, but I wanted to do a little extra this year. She really loves the crafty homemade style but I have no idea what to make. I want to make something useful or pretty.

Both of my grandmothers like to write letters and notes.  If your grandma does this, I bet she would love a handmade (or decorated) set of paper or notecards with matching envelopes.

You could make her a pair of angel earrings or pendant or charm bracelet with an angel theme. I'm sure you could find some great tutorials by searching the interwebs.
