I go to dental school. Because of that I have a weird obsession with teeth. Someone asked me to make a cat toy so just to be fitting... DENTURES! I couldn't understand the pattern for making the teeth, so I knitted a tube and sewed it down. And I wanted the top attached to the bottom so I used the tongue as a hinge. And I think I made the pink bases too thick. Next time I'd make them half their thickness. He liked it so much he said he wouldn't let his cats touch it.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!  I was a dental assistant, I dig this... It's a great little model... check out my embroidery of a molar and the parts of a molar in cross-section that I've posted here, I think you'll dig them, too...  =)

Human rights are for EVERYONE.  Did you know that Aung San Suu Kyi had been released from house arrest in Burma? Many other prisoners of conscience are still being detained.  Please research this topic... Amnesty International needs your help.

Beatnik Chick, I LOVE your embroidery of a molar! It's so accurate and detailed! Now if only I knew how to embroider...

Awww, gee thanx!  I like all of my anatomy embroidery, but the cross sectioned molar and the cartoon-like molar were fun to do... since I was a dental assistant, I had to make the cross section accurate!  =)  Thank you, again, I SO love this creation of yours... I wish I knew how to create such fun things like yours!

That's great! My husband's an Orthodontist, so we naturally have a weird obsession with teeth, too! He always gets such a laugh at all the dental related crafts!  Grin (Note the toothy smiley)

I'll be honest... I thought this was a macaroon when I saw the thumbnail. And then a cream cake when I clicked inside (the tongue being a strawberry!) but that's just because I'm obsessed with my tummy.

When I found out what it actually was I felt like an idiot because it was so obvious, and it's much, much cooler than a cream cake.
