Hey, after 38 and a half hours of work, she's finally finished... She's about 8 inches by 5 inches.  This design was from a photo of a tattoo by Abdiel from Electricbodyart in Marietta, GA.  I saw the photo and asked the creator if I could copy the work as a hand embroidered piece, he said yes, and then I started working... I even tried working with metallic thread, which was killer easy... Here's my latest creation:

The Front:

The Reverse:

The original photo of a tattoo:

For an even bigger photo of this see my myspace page you can see the details of sizes of stitches and thicknesses of threads, or you can check my flickr link:

Human rights are for EVERYONE.  Did you know that Aung San Suu Kyi had been released from house arrest in Burma? Many other prisoners of conscience are still being detained.  Please research this topic... Amnesty International needs your help.

Truly beautiful work.  This gets a "This Rocks!".  The back looks nearly as good as the front.

The piece is amazing, but I am really blown away by the back of your piece. Your stitches are beautiful.
