I'm enjoying this dress Smiley  It actually didn't take to long to do.  I merged two different patterns together that I had  to make the dress the way I wanted.  I used this vintage advance pattern (that I just realised I hadn't posted on Craftster, whoops) and this Vogue Pattern, which, to be honest, I wasn't terribly happy about.  The back of the halter fits to your back by elastic inside the lining.  I don't know how that is supposed to stay, the weight of the dress just pulls it down and the back just doesn't stay up!  Maybe it is my freakishly small back?  I seem to have problems with that on every pattern that I make.  Anyway, the inside of the bodice I fitted with this contraption of straps to slip the back of a strapless bra into to hold it up.  It works out fine.

Anyway, I got the inspiration from a Donna Karan design I've been seeing in all the magazines (you know, that red one with Kate Moss?) {Here is a runway shot}

Yes....I am one of those who has photoshoots with their self timers in their newly made clothes Smiley

Thanks for your time!

Ummm...is it bad that I saw those pictures and it reminded me of "Where in the World is Carmen SanDiego"...?

Haha, but seriously, it's a totally cute dress!  LOVE red.

Very classy, and I love the color!  Nice job.  I wish I could wear clothes that require a strapless bra.  The darn things just don't work for me so I can't wear strapless shirts or halters.
