that robot is awesome.

did you design him yourself, or did you use a chart of some sort?

knitting something with robots on it appeals to me very much..... Grin Grin Grin

Awesome work! Those robots are great and I love your idea to fix the sweater by putting a zipper in the middle. It turned out so well.

Robots are awesome! Great sweater. And I will have to steal your close pin idea... if you don't mind!

really cool sweater, especially how it started out as one thing and ended up as another and you just wouldn't give up on it!

Love this- incredible work!  The robots and their placement are great.  What a way to creatively problem solve with the fit! Your zipper looks so nicely done.

I made up my own chart... it was really easy. I basically drew the most generic robot I could think of, and then made it all pixelly.

If anyone wants to try some botty-goodness in intarsia, here's the "chart" I made in paint, to sort of 'preview' what it might look like as a knit pattern. The neck of the robot is one stitch off, but it isn't noticeable on the actual sweater. It looks wide, but I figured that the stiches are slightly wider than they are tall, so it works out in the end.

lol, excellent....
I wanted to share for that exact purpose, so i'm glad you're going to try it! It's so much easier.

Cute! And the clothespin-idea is just brilliant! I will try that for my next intarsia project...
