Here are some skirts I finished.  The two linen ones are for work & the "batik" one is my modified version of the Nature's Child skirt in the "Sew What! Skirts" book.  On the Nature's Child skirt I didn't use the zipper & turned the contrasting waistband into a casing instead.  The linen was pretty see through, so I made the aqua one reversible and I lined the green one.  (I'm making elastic waistbands right now because I've been doing Weight Watchers & losing weight & it's easier for me to take them in that way).

I am looking for 6" and 8" squares of different red, green, white, and gold fabrics to complete a Christmas quilt.  Does not need to be Christmas fabric per se.

Those are really cute!  I have that book too.  I can certainly understand your wanting to put in elastic as opposed to another type of closure/waistband.  I too have lost a bunch of weight and have to make alot of alterations - a pain!
